Good day, here is your cookie for today. It’s about a ‘Baker’s Dozen,’ “a little extra.”
The Flavor of the Day
Perhaps the earliest reference to the phrase, ‘Baker’s Dozen,’ can be found during medevial times. Certain ‘not so nice’ penalties could be imposed on a baker for cheating or ‘shorting’ a customer. Another term for this was ‘long count.’ Just to make sure the customer received a dozen (12), baked goods as ordered, the baker would add “a little extra.” Instead of 12, a baker’s dozen would be 13.
The term is still used today, but it is often a way to place round objects into a rectangular box. The following image shows two variations of a modern day, ‘Baker’s Dozen.’

For our purposes here, a ‘Baker’s Dozen means, “a little extra.” Do you or do you know someone that would like to make some extra money? Maybe it is time you would like to have more of like 25 hour days or 8 day weeks? Often both time and money are connected. If you have more of the one, you could perhaps afford more of the other.
Every single post in ‘Your Daily Cookie,’ is connected to a way to make extra money. You could make real cookies from the cookie recipes posted here and sell them. Maybe you could ‘tweak’ one of the recipes and make the next million dollar cookie, in the next 
Bake-Off® Contest.
Yes, every single cookie in, ‘Your Daily Cookie,’ has a way to make some extra money. They truly are each and every one of them,
“something you can really take a bite out of!”

- Go through the archives of ‘Your Daily Cookie’ and find something you are interested in and then reply with your interest, your name and E-mail address and I will contact you. If you cannot find something you are interested in, it will probably be in a future post.

- If you know someone that is interested in making some extra money, send them here and let me know you sent them. If the the ‘cookie fits,’ I will make it worth your time.
