		<description>Excellent piece about water disinfectant here. I cofounded a group of concerned citizens in the Champlain Water District in Vermont who got chloramine put into our tap water in 4/06. This has been a nightmare. We have 286 people with (some with very serious) skin, respiratory, and/or digestive health effects from this chemical, the likes of which was NEVER seen here when just chlorine was in our water. Citizens Concerned About Chloramine is a San Francisco CA-based group grappling with this issue. They have had over 500 reports of the same symptoms we are hearing about through their website www.chloramine.org. They also have a plethora of information to offer.
